Having captured two festival awards already, "Three-Fifty" is a humorous 9-minute short about a man who tries to weasel out of his video store late fees only to realize that the store's database contains rather intimate details about his past and present. Have you ever experienced that eerie feeling at the video store counter? You're standing there pleading your case and the clerk is simply standing there looking intently at the database terminal...it's sort of like the little boy's look on his face when he gets caught with his hand in the cookie jar. Director Maurice Chauvet nicely captures the comic potential in the scenario, and benefits from a gifted cast.
