2011 Blue Whiskey Independent Film Festival |
 |
 |
Mission & Objective.
The purpose of the Blue Whiskey Independent Film Festival (BWIFF) is to celebrate films from all around the world, showcasing them to the greater Chicagoland area for the benefit of the community and the filmmakers who are selected for exhibition.
Above all else, BWIFF is looking to exhibit films with creative storytelling; films that utilize the basics in a new and exciting way, presenting independent cinema that is fueled by the filmmaker’s passion for the art without large studio support.
About the Festival. The increasing affordability of new digital technologies is allowing independent filmmakers to produce high-quality movies for production costs as low as only a few thousand dollars. With such technology right at everyone’s fingertips, many diverse and unique films have emerged on the scene, but there are very few affordable outlets for their theatrical exposure.
The Blue Whiskey Independent Film Festival is here to highlight and celebrate these incredible independent films, fulfilling its mission to seek out strong, unique storytelling.
